BID welcomes two additional police officers to area

The BID has now confirmed the introduction of two new additional police officers into the BID area to provide a reassuring presence.

The officers are being ring fenced to the area and are tasked with addressing the crime concerns of local businesses, tackling anti-social behaviour on the streets and driving down the number of offences in the town centre. The area will have more officers than in previous years thanks to this funding arrangement, which has seen the BID working in partnership with the Met police and Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

Businesses will be able to contact them via the Safetynet Radio System. Safetynet Radios are available to all businesses and are a vital communication tool for the town centre’s Business Crime Reduction Partnership. If you would like more information about the Safeynet system, click here or contact Matthew John on 020 3362 4626.

The new officers will be an integral part of the HammersmithLondon Security offer to businesses and will work alongside our BID ambassador and CCTV Operator to ensure the security and competitiveness of the area.
