Hammersmith's car-free Christmas Market coming to town
The festive season is now well and truly upon us and the season of goodwill continues with the return of the traffic-free Hammersmith Christmas Market this weekend.
The market will be held on Saturday, December 1, from 10am to 5.30pm – with more than 100 seasonal food, drink and gift stalls lining the pedestrian-friendly King Street. There will also be live music performances across the festive market and on the stage at Lyric Square.
HammersmithBID are hosting a stall at the event, with the team on hand to provide information about their air quality projects and also to hand out privilege card sign up forms.
The BID will also be providing free silent disco walking tours during the day, with 10 songs to dance around Hammersmith to, ending at the Made in H&F Pop-Up Shop in Kings Mall. Priority booking for the walking tours will be available for privilege cardholders until 3pm on Friday 30th November. There will also be the opportunity to sign up on the day from the HammersmithBID stall.
On top of that, the Christmas Market will be the first opportunity to sample the Hammersmith Honey, made from bee hives housed on the roof of the Lyric Theatre this summer. The honey will be sold from the Lyric’s stall at the market, with all proceeds going back into the BID-funded project.
