The BID’s digital presence is a key component for the success of the town centre as workers, residents and visitors use our online presence to stay informed about the area.

We believe it is a key component for the future success of the town centre as it will help to reshape popular perceptions of Hammersmith.

The BID will keep pace with consumers and technology through the use of new methods and different platforms by:

Digitising existing programmes such as the Privilege Card
Continuing to offer free Wi-Fi in Lyric Square
Supporting the promotion and expansion of new digital platforms

• Expanding and digitising the popular Privilege Card programme via our App

• Using the latest iBeacon technology to alert passers-by of in-store technology

• Promoting new online shopping methods such as click & collect

• Providing monthly e-newsletters to local businesses and employees

• Maintaining two new websites to promote and inform local businesses, residents and visitors

• Capitalising on a strong social media presence using all the state-of-the-art technological platforms

• Investigating the expansion of Wi-Fi across the town centre by exploring various funding initiatives such as Spacehive and other such crowdfunding platforms

The BID will monitor its Digital Town targets through:

• Website and social media figures

• Survey reports

• E-newsletter subscriber figures

• Wi-Fi usage figures

• Figures received through the new

• HammersmithLondon App

• Privilege Card data figures

• Map distribution figures

The BID's free E-Privilege Card smartphone app allows users to unlock a host of deals and offers for the town's shops, restaurants and pubs.

Hand-picked discounts are regularly updated and the e-card will alert users to flash sales, limited deals and seasonal offers. This is a tool for the modern shopper that will help to enhance their Hammersmith experience by giving them money off deals at the touch of a button.

You can Download the E-Privilege Card App for IOS and Android

The BID provides free Wi-Fi in Lyric Square to better connect workers, residents and visitors.

More than 15,000 people have logged onto the free HammersmithLondon Wi-Fi network since it was set up in 2014.

The BID is hoping to expand the free Wi-Fi service throughout the town centre.
