Your chance to help make the Hammersmith Flyover greener
Residents and workers are being encouraged to have their say on the work to improve the space under the Hammersmith Flyover.
HammersmithLondon BID and Hammersmith & Fulham Council are working together on several projects in their aim to make the borough the greenest in Britain.
Just making a few small changes, including adding more plants and introducing green screens to help reduce pollution, will help improve the look and feel of the area dramatically.
All Hammersmith residents and workers can have their say by filling in this survey to supply comments and suggestions to improve the site.
The plans for the space under the flyover are just part of a wider project to make Hammersmith a ‘Low Emission Neighbourhood’.
Other initiatives and ideas to help make Hammersmith a cleaner, more environmentally friendly borough, include: building a cycle hub to increase the number of bicycle parking spaces and reducing clutter; introducing rapid-charging points for electric vehicles in Sussex Place Car Park; introducing sustainable drainage to reduce flooding and improving biodiversity; and working with local businesses to help them move to less polluting service and delivery vehicles.
